Global CRM platform · 2026-09-09 · Official K:BOS announcementIssue 1 · September 2026 · Honourable mention
The case
Klaviyo’s K:BOS update described CRM tasks available through external AI assistants, using more than 260 published tools. It also announced plain-language SQL in Preview within Composer, with the underlying query visible; external-assistant access to this feature was coming soon. Personalization, also in Preview, introduced models for who, what, when and where decisions, with profile updates, objective guardrails and holdout testing. Composer gained scheduled tasks and custom skills. These are announced capabilities with different availability states, not a completed customer deployment.
The observation
Operational access and decision controls are developing together.
Evidence and context
The June announcement provides earlier context for the shared customer profile. Several September capabilities were in Preview, and external-assistant access to plain-language SQL was announced as coming soon. The capabilities were not independently tested; announced access does not establish a verified rollout.
